Nicole Miller nylon moto jacket and embellished tank (samples), Supermuse Sold Your Soul skirt, ASOS Truth boots (also worn here), Vintage brocade pouch bag, Souvenir silver cuffs (similar here) and hand harness (similar here).
This is part two of our previous NYFW post, and Lauren was similarly decked out in her favorite Nicole Miller picks. Since she paired the embellished top with a complicated, lacy skirt, she decided to keep the rest of the outfit simple by strategically pairing the look with a bold blue moto jacket and the brightest, whitest ankle boots you've ever laid eyes on. The shoes were a complete show-stopper (and even made their way onto Refinery 29's NYFW shoe roundup).
After snapping these pics, we rushed inside to catch Nicole Miller's SS14 show. We were told earlier in the week that her inspiration for the collection was the storming of Versailles, and the runway stayed true to form, attacking us with a decadent barrage of bold femmes. The clothes were equal parts rebellious and feminine. Think moto vests layered over pretty floral prints, bold baroque prints, and opulent beaded jackets paired with slashed up jeans.
The models' amazing braided coifs added an additional touch of romance to the show, and as Lauren noted to me after, she loved that Chloe Norgaard and her signature green locks tromped down the runway with the rest of them, "like the general to Miller's fiercely clad army." We managed to snap a few decent pics from our vantage point, but highly suggest checking out the full collection here. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
